This week has been a particularly challenging one for me as a mom. My eight-month-old must be teething because he is unusually fussy. My two-and-a-half-year-old, who is usually well-behaved (for a two-year-old) has been tapping into the terrible twos a little extra, and I have been praying for patience every day this week.
Parenting can be HARD.
Whenever being a mom feels too overwhelming and difficult, I am reminded that I need to run to my Father to be renewed with the knowledge of His love and be encouraged by His word. I need to be reminded of the bigger picture and the significance of my present calling as a mom of young children.
When I am depleted at the end of the day, I know I need to fill my own cup with the Living Word of God because it has the power to transform my heart and mind.
If you find yourself tired and overwhelmed after a challenging day…or week…or maybe you are walking in a difficult season of motherhood, here are 15 bible verses to uplift and encourage you.
