This past year, I have been decluttering my closet and focusing on creating a timeless capsule wardrobe. To be honest, I was getting tired of keeping up with trends (not to mention how pricey it can get!!).
Minimalism and capsule wardrobes are gaining traction as of late, and I couldn’t be more happy about it. While I do not claim to be a minimalist, I love the idea of mindful purchases and only keeping things that bring you value. And when it comes to my closet, I do try to be intentional and only purchase pieces that I see standing the test of time.
In this post, I am sharing some of my favorite capsule wardrobe pieces that I have purchased.
- Everlane Dream Pant – These pants really are a dream. They are SO comfortable! I would wear them every day in the colder months if I could. They come in different colors too!
- Abercrombie High Rise 90’s Straight Jean – My current favorite pair of jeans.
- Striped Half-Zip Sweater – A classic neutral sweater
- Scuba Oversized Half-Zip Hoodie – This hoodie is perfect for the more casual days that involve doing something more active with my family. It is pricey though, and I have found a very similar version on Amazon (here).
- Midi Slip Dress – A classic fall/winter dress that can be styled in so many ways! I love this one from Madewell.
- Knitted Coat – Something between a coat and a cardigan. Perfect for those crisp fall days!
- Oversized Wool Coat – When it comes to a wool coat that won’t break the bank, Mango is my go-to store to shop at. I love the fit and length of this one.
- Levi’s Faux Leather Jacket – Another great staple piece.
- New Balance Sneakers – I love these. I do have to clean them often because of the light color. But I love that they are neutral and go with everything!
- Black Glove Booties – I’ve been wanting these boots for a couple of years now, but every time fall rolls around and I go to purchase them, my size is sold out. I am so happy I was able to finally get a hold of them this year!
- Classic Nude Loafers – This is another pair that fits well and goes with any outfit.
