Spring is finally upon us and with the sun out, I am in the mood to deep-clean everything!
I usually plan ahead and list everything I want to clean so that I don’t miss anything. Since deep cleaning with two small children the way I want to is nearly impossible, they will be going over to my mom’s house every day for 6-7 days so that I can get it all done.
I like to be realistic and break up my spring cleaning into 6-7 days. In this post, I am sharing my personal spring cleaning checklist and how I go about getting it done. So stick around if you want to know how I do my annual spring cleaning!
Day 1
On the first day, I like to start with the outside of our house. This involves cleaning the garage, our porch, and the deck. I get so excited about cleaning the porch and deck because I am reminded that nice weather is just around the corner!
I also like to clean all of the windows and doors throughout the entire house just so that I don’t have to worry about them when I am cleaning room to room.

This is what my sixth day of spring cleaning looked like:

By the final day, the rooms are already messy again, and the bathrooms need to be cleaned again. But that is just reality. In this season of life, it is impossible to keep every area of my home clean at the same time for more than a couple of hours. However, I love the feeling after I deep clean my home because I know that the places I don’t get to on a regular basis are clean.
I like to finish off my annual spring cleaning by making a potpourri to make the house smell as nice and fresh as it looks! This is the recipe I like to use:
- Lemmons
- Vanilla
- Rosemary
It is so easy and makes our home smell SOO nice!
