This April, we had the opportunity to take a family vacation and go to the island of Oahu. It was much needed, I have to say! My parents went with us and we had an amazing time at the Marriott Ko Olina Beach Resort. This was our second time going there and I think it’s the perfect place if you have kids! We got to travel and explore different places around the island, but my favorite was hanging out at the resort.
The trip was such a rejuvenating time for our family, and it flew by way too fast!!
Caleb’s favorite part must have been playing in the sand. He was not a fan of the water but he could sit and play in the sand for hours!!
We enjoyed our early morning walks along the 4 different lagoons and resorts. By the time we would come back to the hotel, Benji (our eight-month-old) was ready for his first nap.
My husband’s favorite part of the trip was swimming in the huge waves at Sandy Beach while I sat on the beach and prayed for his safety (do NOT recommend Sandy Beach for swimming as it is known for its very dangerous surf breaks).
We explored different cafes and coffee shops. A total must, in my opinion, because they have the BEST smoothie bowls in Hawaii!
Okay, now onto what I packed for the trip…
Packing seemed like a DAUNTING task because it was our first trip as a family of four. And with having a toddler and a baby I wanted to make sure we had everything we needed to make it an enjoyable time.
Although I was worried about the flight, it went pretty smoothly! Much of it was thanks to the things I purchased and packed. So here is the packing list that made our vacation with a toddler and baby easy:
Thanks for stopping by! If you are traveling soon for the first time with little ones and are nervous about it, I just want to encourage you and let you know that it seems way scarier than it actually is!
